Our newest clutch hatched on 7/19/08. I hatched out two beautiful Pastel Mojaves.!!!!

One of the hardest things when first producing a new combo morphs is determining if you have produced them or not. Some morphs are easy like a Pewter or a Bumble Bee but the more subtle morphs can really be hard especially if there are not that many pictures to compare them to. That was the case in hatching out my second clutch of Mojaves. The Second clutch of Mojaves I produced was from my Male bred to a very nice Pastel Female. When the eggs started to pip I cut them and there were three Mojaves in the clutch. They all looked more vibrant in color compared to what the other clutch of Mojaves looked like so I thought that maybe they were all Pastel Mojaves. I then decided to ask for expert help and called on my friends at The Snake Keeper. Dan and Collette were the first breeders I bought Ball Pythons from when I first started and they have been very good about helping me with any problems. This time was no different. I sent them some pictures of the three asking them to take a look at them and let me know if they thought I had produced any Pastel Mojaves. These are the ones that they determined were Pastel Mojaves. By the way the determining factor was the white noses and washed out head coloring.

Here are the two Pastel Mojaves I hatched out.

First up is PASTMOJ08-1. The first two pictures are of her right after she had come out of the egg and before her first shed.

Breeding Picture

I think the reason that both of these girls are so good looking has a lot to do with the Mother being a really nice Pastel but the main influence has been the Father. He is such a unique looking animal that all of his offspring are just a bit different. I am looking forward to the light green blushing to start creeping into these. They should be truly outstanding as adults.

Here is a picture of the Male Mojave by himself so you can see how incredible looking he is.

I hope you enjoy the pictures,
